This land is your land...

This land is our land. We did it! We purchased 5 acres in Rhome, TX. There is a lot of work that needs to be done before we can even begin to think about getting a home built and moved. We hope to start building in the spring of 2013. We've been looking at land for several months and a few deals fell through. We prayed about it and here we are. We are super excited. It's going to be an adventure, one that Johnny and I are happy to take together. Cooper is going to grow up in an amazing place with lots of animals and "farming" things to do. It's the perfect place for a little guy with lots of energy to grow up. Johnny already had plans for chickens, rabbits, cows, and whatever else he can get me to agree to. I am going to plant a garden and start my list of the things I want my dream house to have. A BIG NICE KITCHEN! I am excited! I will post pictures soon.

What does a cow say?

According to Cooper a cow says Momma! Cooper is so silly. He is talking like crazy. Here is what he is saying...Momma! Dadda! Ball, soccer, dog, Jack, Molly, Go away (usually to Molly and Jack), bath, diaper, nite-nite, bye-bye, stop, thank you, more, milk, Nana, Pappa, and lots of other stuff. He loves to carry his own towel to the bathroom for bath time. He likes to help put clothes from the washer to the dryer and he likes to take clothes out of the dryer. He loves to use a broom, he sweeps and sweeps...I hope he likes that chore in a few more years. He loves sitting on the couch like a big boy. He loves to give the dogs their treats each morning when they go to their bed. He is getting so big and wants to help with every thing. I can't believe he will be 18 months old in a few weeks. It literally seems like yesterday that we found out we were going to be blessed with a baby. Gosh, time goes so fast.

It's soccer time!

Cooper is going to start "playing" soccer in April. We can't wait. It's through an organization called Soccer Tots and Little Sluggers. Soccer tots starts at 18mths and Little Sluggers starts at 2 years. It's parent led instructional soccer...it is going to be so cute. I can't wait.

Here are a few pictures of Cooper's sunflower that he planted at the Houston Stock Show. He has a little watering can that daddy helps him water his flower with everyday.

fun weekend

We had a great weekend. We went to the Houston Stock Show and Rodeo. It was so much fun. We spend all day and a good part of the evening at the show. Cooper was a good little guy all weekend. Friday night was a tough night getting him to bed, he took a long nap on the drive to Houston so by the time we got to the hotel he was rested and ready to play. The Houston Stock Show has a great kids area. Cooper went to the petting zoo and loved it. He got to feed animals and pet the animals, he rode a pony, see newborn animals, played with worms, watch chicks hatch and he got to plant a sunflower to grow. He seemed to really enjoy it. I know Johnny and I enjoyed it. I love to see Johnny and Cooper together, I tell you Cooper is one lucky little guy. Johnny loves to do things with Cooper and truly enjoys doing things with him. Johnny is so patient with him, I love it. Cooper wore his boots and Wranglers to the show and he looked so cute. I got some cute pictures of Cooper and Johnny before we left for the show. The rodeo was great and Cooper enjoyed it even though he slept through a lot of it. After the rodeo Billy Currington came on stage. It was getting late and we were on borrowed time with Cooper so we did not stay for the entire show. It was just a great weekend.
